Dangerous Boys and Their Toy by Shayla Black
Police detective Cameron Martinez and bounty hunter R.A. Thorn are on the search for Curtis Lawton. He's the star witness in a major criminal case and Thorn put up the fifty grand to bond him out of jail. Their search leads them to Lawton's secret love nest where they find the lovely Brenna Sheridan. At first, they believe she's his mistress but something about her tells them otherwise, she knows things about him she's not telling.
Thorn thinks the way to get information out of her is to seduce her but he quickly draws Cam in to the scenario; Thorn's wild and Cam's sensitive. Just what Brenna needs to accomplish what she hasn't been able to ever, orgasms. But once they've all shared, they find it difficult to stop themselves; they crave each other. Thorn has always tried to hold himself aloft from everyone and keep them from getting too close. Brenna has never felt loved by anyone after being abandoned as a young child. Now Cam sees more than what either of them thinks and he's the one to help them break through their barriers.
Shayla Black always writes a very hot read. When I started this one, I couldn't put it down. The characters are real. I felt so much for Thorn and what he'd been through since childhood. I wanted to climb right in and take care of him myself. Brenna's loss of family at such a young age, contributed so much of her adulthood and what she needed in life. And Cam, the glue to hold them all together. This is an exceptional story that will get you really hot and bothered, especially if you love a menage!

Bare Devotion by Lacey Thorn (Bare Love series book 4)
Ally Samms comes to the town of Legacy in search of the person who killed her mother and her mother's lover,The Messenger, a serial arsonist/murderer. While at the last house he torched, she thinks if she could get some clues to figure out how to stop him and that is where she meets the fire marshal, Blake Summers. Within an instant, the flames of desire ignite between the two and they begin an affair that threatens to burn them both alive. Could Ally have really found someone that completes her and give her the family she'd always longed for? And what about Blake? He thought he'd never trust another woman again after his ex-wife had nearly destroyed him.
Catherine Daniels has devoted herself to her family all her life especially after the death of her husband two years prior. But she's still a young woman capable of love and she's fallen in love with Roman Davis. Roman's tired of hiding his relationship with Rin and wants it all out in the open. She could lose him if she doesn't come forward and tell her children but if she does would she lose her children instead with the truth?
I love, love, love this series by Lacey Thorn. It has all the elements that make a great romantic suspense story; passion, sexual tension, anticipation. Both Ally and Blake were new characters just introduced in this story and you become captivated with them right off the bat. Returning characters of Catherine and Roman are a delight as well as old favorites from the previous and future books. I really look forward to the next book in this series and kudos to Lacey Thorn for another job well done.

Mistress Christmas by Lorelei James (Wild West Boys series)
Holly North lets her friend talk her into filling in as Mistress Christmas, who's out sick, at her Christmas themed strip club. This is so unlike her, being an accountant, so she dons a mask hoping no one will recognize her. The anonymity of the mask along with the costume provides her with the perfect solution to act out of character.
Nick West, cowboy turned detective, arrives at Sugar Plums strip club hoping to catch Mistress Christmas in the act; the act of drugging and robbing another man just like she had his friend. But when he sees Mistress Christmas, the attraction between them dances out of control and he forgets his main purpose of being there. He returns the next night hoping for a little more Christmas cheer and she lets him in on her Christmas wish, one night of sexual abandon with him. Of course, that's his wish as well.
Their time alone provides them with the perfect opportunity to come forth with their secrets. But they find themselves falling deeper for each other and they both know when the night is over, their emotions will be stripped bare.
Lorelei James does it again, one hot, sexy read. You become entranced with the characters and involved in their lives. Nick is a sexy man I wouldn't throw out of my bed. Accident prone Holly is a mess but with Nick, it doesn't matter. I think he's even more entranced by it. It's nice to catch another glimpse of our beloved McKays through their cousins, the Wests. Keep 'em coming Lorelei.

Boyfriend for Hire by Missy Lyons
What with running the Washington Press newspapers, Angelica Heart didn't have time for a boyfriend and with her mother interfering in her love life, she needed to do something. So why not hire a boyfriend to take home, if only for the Christmas weekend?
Bradley Pennington, shows up on Angelica's doorstep to let her know his brother, would be breaking his date with her. But when he sees her he decides to play along and get to know her better.
This read went by way too fast. I wanted more and felt there could have been a more indepth story here. Angel and Brad are meant for each other but the relationship starts out on a lie which is never good. If you're looking for a short quick story, this is a good one.

This book was a great read, suspenseful, enticing, romantic. Even though they're at crossroads, you want to see Harlee and Jake beat the odds and come together with a solution about the camp. The chemistry between them is passionate and sizzling. The secondary characters held my interest and added great dimensions to the story. I know more stores have got to be in the making and eagerly await them.

Nicole has been in love with David, the son of the family who owns the department store she's worked at for several years. At the same time she's been fending off the advances of his older brother. Their mother has taken to depending on Nicole for everything, including wearing a too small elf costume as she helps with the Marco's Christmas Eve party. Her night goes from bad to worse when she learns David will be moving out of state and opening up a new family store and then her car won't start.
Business oriented David Marco has had his mind on more than business lately; that being the lovely Nicole. He's wanted her for a long time but kept his distance. He decides not to let his chance pass him by any longer when her car battery dies and she needs assistance. Giving her a ride home isn't the only ride he wants to give her.
This short holiday story is enough to perk up the senses. You feel for Nicole as she tries her best to keep her distance from the older brother but longs for David and his heart. And the sexual tension between Nicole and David sizzles. You'll love this story.

Then Jessica's past comes back in a big way and along with it someone she never knew existed. And she gains the insight in to the future that never knew she longed for. And Wade is there to help her with her realizations until she decides to take a chance at love.
What a wonderful book this was. Poor Jessie has had a difficult life since childhood and doesn't know how to trust anyone. Wade, what a man! He's everything Jessie needs, her saviour. This is the first book by Mackenzie McKade that I've read and I'll definitely be reading more.

Bound by Love by T.A. Chase
Tyler Newsome has been living life on the rodeo circuit but he's grown tired of it and always taking care of his selfish twin J.T., who believes Tyler's life should continue to be devoted to him.
When he gets home he runs right into neighbor Ren, whom he's always had a thing for. He made the mistake of telling J.T. about how Ren turned him inside out before and J.T. took advantage of the information and started his own affair with the cowboy.
Ren Alston, neighbor to the Newsome family, has wanted Tyler since he was young. But being the older man in this situation, he knew he'd have to wait until Tyler was grown and came to him. Ren made the mistake of dating J.T. a few times but only as a substitute for Tyler, which he realized was a huge error in his judgement. J.T. was nothing like Tyler. Ren and Tyler quickly become involved in a passionate affair that they know they must hide due to the prejudices that could come about in their ranching community.
I loved this book. Tyler is a very likable character and you want him to realize his dreams of a life with Ren. Ren's life has been a difficult one with his war background and baggage that continues to hang on. You want them to find happiness together with all the problems surrounding their brothers. My heart goes out to Ren's brother Keith and Tyler's father was so cool. And J.T. needs a good man to put him in his place.

Target of Deception by Jennifer Cole
Originally published through Dark Eden Press (currently not published)
Alexis Ranier began stripping when her life turned upside down. She needed a lot of easy money since she was having to pay for the cost of keeping her brother in a nursing home on life support and caring for her niece. One night after she was finished stripping, a police detective tells her he's been assigned to protect her. She doesn't trust cops now that her brother, a former police detective was shot and left to die while on assignment. Slowly, she begins to trust Adrien with her niece and her heart.
Adrien Spence was assigned to watch over stripper Summer Rain (Alexis Ranier). He's was never told by the police chief why he must watch over her but as time goes by he finds himself wanting to be closer to Alexis and her niece. Then the chief stops the assignment saying her life is no longer in danger. When Adrien questions him further he admits he's been trying to get some evidence that Alexis may have in her possession to help find her brother's assassin. Should Adrien help the chief or risk losing Alexis if she finds out what he doing?
Target of Deception is an exciting story. Alexis is a smart mouthed heroine and I really like her attitude when she calls Adrien "cop." Adrien is a sexy man who can protect me any day. Miss Cole kept me intrigued throughout the book and the sex is hot and never boring. If this book is ever published again, read it and you'll be as thrilled with the story as I was.

Cowboy and the Thief by Lora Leigh (A Wish, A Kiss, A Dream anthology)

Legend has it the Torque must be owned by an Irish lass but worn by the man of her heart. It's been passed down through the same family for ages. At first Jack has no desire to own such a piece until he meets the daughter of the man selling the Torque. It's supposed to be bequeathed to her since the death of her mother. But Mr. Manning decides to sell and Angel is fit to be tied.
Angel Manning knows the legacy is hers because of her dreams in the night but how will she get it back? She decides the only way is to break in to Jack's home and steal it and Jack grabs her before she can find it. And she's afraid if she stays long she'll lose her heart to Jack but gain nothing in return.
Cowboy and the Thief is another great short story by Lora Leigh. Jack and Angel have great chemistry and if they're not fighting, they're making love. It's a recommended read.

Cowboy and the Captive by Lora Leigh (Cops and Cowboys anthology)
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Luc Jardin had a grudge against Maria Angeles since she almost got his friend Jack and him killed. He's been seeking revenge against her ever since so he decides to kidnap her with the help of her brother Joe. But unbeknownst to him, Maria has a twin sister, Melina.
Melina's family (except for Joe) has forced her to live in her older sister's shadow. She's paid the price more than once for her sister's mistakes and the last time almost killed her. So when her parents ask her once again to take her sister's place, she can no longer risk her life; she wants more. What she wants is Luc Jardin, the man her sister came close to killing with her drug deals.
Melina met Luc when he came to her parent's to inform them about their daughter and what she'd done. While he was there, her parent's introduced her as Maria. She was made to portray her sister then and Luc had no idea there were two Angeles daughters. Now to make Maria see the error of her ways, Luc has kidnapped her. Melina tries to tell him who she really is but Luc doesn't believe her. After all, she's lied to him before. Little things force Luc to see that everything's not quite what they seem and he's determined to find out what's going on and who he's falling in love with.
This was another good story by Lora Leigh, not quite in the league of the Bound Hearts series, but good none the less. Melina is a fighter after what she's been through with her despicable sister and parents. Luc is just the man to finally love her as she deserves and thank goodness for her brother Joe to get her out of the clutches of Maria.

Loving Lies by Lora Leigh (Men of Summer series)
Publisher: Samhain Publishing
Slade Coulter has wanted Jessie from the time she was 16 years old and shared a dance. From that moment on, he considered her his although he knew he must wait until she was of age to claim her fully. The weekends in Loudoun, Tennessee were filled with drinking, fishing and all around good fun as everyone camped around the riverbank clearing and Jessie's 21st birthday was celebrated on one such weekend.
Jessie Benton loved Slade for as long as she could remember and on the occasion of her 21st birthday, she decides the time had come to seduce him and make him hers forever. She stows away in the back of Slade's RV when he takes off in it to his quieter camping place. When he finds out she's with him, he can no longer control his desire for her and they spend a whirlwind weekend of sex and loving together. He's ready to make his full commitment to only her.
But when Slade arrives home to grab some clothes before heading back to Jessie's for dinner and "dessert", his whole world is turned upside down. Although he was partner in a construction company, he'd been recruited, while in college, by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security to infiltrate a family of arms dealers. He'd thought the case had fallen apart and was over but when he arrived home he found his partner Amy Jennings and his handler from DHS waiting for him. The case was back on and they needed to go back undercover. He had no choice but to comply or put Jessie and the rest of his friends in jeopardy if the arms dealers found out who he really was. So Slade goes to Jessie and lies to her about why he no longer wants to be with her; he tells her she is too young for him.
Five years later, Slade is back; the case is finally over with the arrest of the arms dealers and death of his partner Amy (whom he had to marry as part of the case). Jessie hasn't moved on; she lives in his apartment, owns his RV, wears his clothes. But when she sees him, she's still so hurt, she can't give him another chance to break her heart all over again or could she? And Slade has never stopped thinking of Jessie; she was the reason he made through those long five years. He has to find a way to overcome the obstacles and win Jessie's heart all over again.
Loving Lies is a wonderful book that had me laughing at the supporting character Jazz, crying over the heartbreak between Jessie and Slade. I was aggravated with the fact that Slade should have told Jessie as soon as he was back exactly what went down during the time he left and returned instead of waiting for the right time. I do hope Lora Leigh continues the Men of Summer series; I'm highly anticipating Jazz's story.

In the meantime, a past FBI case comes back to haunt Mac when a stalker invades his home and begins to play games with Keiley. Can he and Jethro find out who the stalker is and protect Keiley before it's too late?
Forbidden Pleasure was a hot and mysterious read. It kept me guessing as to who the stalker was. The Bound Hearts series keeps getting better and better. Lora Leigh never disappoints the reader.

Kimberly has been dodging Jared for a year cause she knows he's the one who could break through her barriers and sacrifice all for his love. An assignment brings her to Jared's farm and in turn, to his bed and she realizes she doesn't want to sacrifice Jared's love
Books 4 and 5 in the Bound Hearts series are enticingly hot books. You'll learn a little more about The Club. I loved Tally's boldness with Lucian and Devril but they are the perfect men to keep her in line. And when Kimberly learned of the heartbreak her mother went through for her, I was crying. Jared is so good to her and for her.

Running With the Devil by Lorelei James
When Drake March (undercover DEA agent) makes contact with Kenna Jones at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, he's not sure what exactly her relationship is with a murdered informant. He knows she's hiding something but what? He decides he's not going to let her get too far away from him until he figures her out. So he cons her into helping him so he can keep her close but close is definitely where he wants her considering he feels this unbelievable attraction to her.
Kenna Jones (real name Kaye Anne) can switch up her look in nothing flat. After she lost her chance the year before for a grant to pay her tuition, her friend talked her into getting paid by escorting rich bikers at the Rally. This was a fast way to earn the money she needed but no funny business was involved. She hated the fact she'd have to do the same two years in a row. Agent March threatens her with police and IRS if she doesn't cooperate with his investigation and pose as his escort this year.
While picking up her things she would need, someone shoots at Kenna and Drake which puts her in even more danger than either thought. Kenna didn't trust Drake but yet something inside told her he was the one she needed in the long run. Drake knew he'd need to protect Kenna plus get to the bottom of the Diablo drug ring. How was he going to protect his heart from her? Would Drake be able to save Kenna before time ran out?
This story was really different. It gives you a glimpse of what the Sturgis Motorcyle Rally must be like. Drake and Kenna are quite a pair. They hate each other with a passion but that passion is equally explosive when they are loving each other. And they come up with some pretty inventive ways to have sex. This hot read was not a dissapointment at all.
Lacy Buchanan decides to prove to her ex-boyfriend that she can handle a survivalist hiking trip in Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains. But she ends up getting lost and is rescued by one of the hike's guides. While they are hiking to meet back up with the rest of the party, she encounters a rattlesnake which Becker has to save her from. And Lacy ends up breaking their only compass while trying to get away from the snake.
Sam Becker wants to break Lacy's pretty little neck for getting them in the situation they are in. He's not really an experenced guide, just the moneyman behind this new tour business. He only filled in at the last minute cause they were short on help. What was he going to do now to save them after she broke the compass? That was their only chance at finding camp.
Together, Lacy and Sam learn to trust in each other to get through their ordeal. With their trust fulfilled, they end up letting themselves go and their desires come out. Sam sees Lacy is not the empty headed bimbo he thought and Lacy realizes Sam isn't a bossy caveman after all.
Lacy and Sam's banter is what got me with this short story. Funny! Lacy loves to say things to antagonize Sam and Sam doesn't want Lacy to see he's not what she believes him to be. The sexual tension is off the charts. You'll want to take up hiking for sure once you read this story if you could get lost in the woods with a man like Sam.

Wicked Garden by Lorelei James
Ten years ago, Eden LaCroix was left behind, with her dress down around her ankles, by Billy Buchanan on prom night, no explanations given. She was supposed to give him her virginity that night but he walked out refusing to do the deed. Eden, now administrator of the local Community Center, is confronted with her past when Billy walks back in the door. Billy has returned as consultant to the city council, which is studying whether to update the community centeror close it's doors to build a newer version in a different part of the city. All the passion Eden felt for Billy was brought back to the forefront just at the sound of his voice. Eden decided she'd be professional at work, but what was wrong with having a fling with Billy in private. Maybe it would put to rest their past and she could move on.
Billy Buchanan never stopped thinking of Eden during those long 10 years away and he was at a crossroads trying to decide which direction his life should take when he was offered this temporary position of consultant. Now Eden was back in his life, even if it was only for a short time. How was he going to be objective with his decisions regarding the community center when his desires for Eden were overflowing?
Then to top it off, Eden's sometime lover, Jon White Feather, returns to town for a break from his rockstar life. Would this cause a problem between her and Billy? Billy decides to give Eden an extra special gift. He includes Jon in a tryst, making Eden feel like the truly beautiful woman she'd never realized she was. Could Eden and Billy heal their pasts or would they let their love slip away again?
Wicked Garden is a truly enjoyable story. Reunited lovers is always a favorite storyline I love to read. Although I love a good menage story as well, I didn't feel it was really necessary with Eden and Billy's story. It flew by that quick. But Jon White Feather is a very appealing character and am hoping he'll end up with a story of his own sometime. Having read this one, I then had to go ahead and read the previous story from the same town.
Dirty Deeds by Lorelei James
While Tate Cross is in town to settle her aunt's estate, she decides she wants to have a down and dirty, no strings attached affair but who with. In the meantime, she learns she must comply with new landscaping regulations for her aunt's house before she can sell the property and return to her life. Tate's finances are almost burned out since she's on a leave of absence from her job as a graphic artist. She asks her friend Val for suggestions. Val thinks her brother, Nathan, may be the right man for the job. She thought a trade off was in order; Nathan could use some help with art lessons for his growing business and Eden could use a break on costs with her landscaping expenses. Val even thought commitment shy Nathan was the man for Eden down and dirty affair.
Nathan LeBeau wasn't sure he wanted to get involved in anything with his sister's friend, Tate but Val convinced him to give it a try. He knew this might be his perfect opportunity to prove himself to the city council and build his business in a different direction. When he met Tate, he was totally bowled over by her beauty and brains. His last girlfriend had told him he was too involved with his work and didn't have time for romance. But all Tate wanted was sex. How was he going to prove to Tate she should give him a chance at more than just sex?
This is the story of two strong willed people, each having a much different agenda. What Tate and Nathan don't realize until it's almost too late is they are perfect for each other. I so loved this story. Lorelei James brought out some emotions in me the reader that really make a good romance story. If you want a story that will make you laugh and cry, read this one.

Bananaz by Dee Dawning
ISBN # Excess0000013
Joel awakens from a nap on the couch to find his girlfriend, Teri in the kitchen with three of her friends, all wearing nothing but bikinis. When he peeks around the corner to see what all the giggling is about, he finds them practicing blow job deep throating techniques on bananas. After he's discovered watching, the girls talk him and Teri into a real live demonstration. This demo turns in to a wild sex romp between all of them with some sexy surprises happening along the way.
All I can say is WOW! What a hot, sexy little story this was. If you like a lot of sex, Bananaz won't disappoint you. Be prepared, it goes by way too quickly!

Cutting Loose by Susan Andersen
Jane Kaplinski vowed growing up never to let passion rule her life. Her parents were more interested in the alcohol, acting and themselves than Jane. At 12, Jane and her friends Poppy and Ava met Miss Agnes Wolcott. Miss Agnes took the girls under her wing and they had tea monthly for the next 18 years. When she passed away, Miss Agnes bequeath her estate to the girls. The girls ccouldn't afford to upkeep of the Wolcott mansion, so they decided selling would be the best thing for them to do. The contractor called in to make the extensive renovations the mansion needed is Devlin Kavanagh. When Jane meets Dev, they share an instant attraction. Jane tries her best to avoid him and the passion between them.
Devlin is only working for his family's contracting business until his brother's illness has improved. Then he'll be returning to Europe to and work. So Jane eventually decides what's wrong with no strings sex since Dev will be leaving anyway. But after, she never would have guessed her feelings would change and grow. And she'd finally let passion into her life.
I enjoyed this first book in Susan Andersen's Sisterhood Diaries trilogy and look forward to the next in the series. The chemistry between Jane and Dev is explosive from the beginning when they're arguing more than anything else. Once they decide to stop arguing and make love, the chemistry is off the charts.

The Boys Back Home by Sierra Dafoe
When Cassie Jordan was young, she fell in love with her best friends, Kyle Watson and Alan Caine. Now how could she ever choose between the two of them? She knew she couldn't have both of them. That was just unheard of in the small town of Preacher's Bend, Idaho.
But after catching Kyle and Alan in a more than compromising position with each other, Cassie hurriedly leaves town to start life over without them. She eventually turns to another man, becoming engaged. After having been gone for three years, Cassie decides it's time to return to the town she grew up in, so she could deal with her unresolved feelings for Kyle and Alan. How could she ever totally commit to her fiance and set a wedding date unless she did?
Alan and Kyle had turned to each other because they didn't want to force Cassie to make a choice between the two of them. Once all the misunderstandings are brought to the forefront, they decide there was no way they were going to let Cassie take off again.
I really enjoyed this book. In fact, I felt it ended a little too quickly. I wanted to reach in and give Cassie a big hug knowing she was having such a difficult time. Poor Alan and Kyle, it took them awhile but they finally got their act together where Cassie was concerned. If you choose to read this story, you won't be disapppointed. Kudos Sierra!

Poor Carrie was still hurting from her disastrous marriage and her husband's death. I really felt for what she'd been through and J.T. was the right man to save her from herself.
